Want to hang with the coolest cats in town? Reserve your date in the Kitty Lounge!

There is a $8 (+ $0.71 WA sales tax) cover charge, which includes a $2 drink credit, or a $1 adult beverage credit (21+).
This keeps the roof over the kitties’ heads and ensures their stay with us is comfortable and nourishing.

Since we only allow 6 guests in with the cats at a time, you can choose to reserve all 6 spots if you wish to have a private date with the cats. Our kitties tend to be more active earlier in the day, and snuggly in the evening. We cannot guarantee the age, breed, or amount of cats that will be with us at any given time. The shelter brings what they bring. We do not have a say.

Per Governor Insless’s order and the SRHD, we must require all Kitty Lounge guests to wear their masks at all times while visiting the cats. We are not permitted to make exceptions for medical exemptions and children of ALL AGES must wear masks as well. This is non-negotiable. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Kitty Lounge capacity is limited to 6 guests at a time. If you want the room to yourself make sure you reserve all 6 spots. You MUST CHOOSE the number of people in your group before searching for a date and time. The number on the drop-down menu shows how many openings are currently available during a specific time. Visits are 50 minutes and start at the top of the hour. Please read all rules and policies before confirming a visit.

Everyone must read our liability waiver before making a reservation. By completing a reservation form you certify that you and everyone in your party have read the liability waiver, understand its contents and agree to its release.

Children 13 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult with a maximum of 2 children per adult. Parents must closely monitor their children. Cats can be unpredictable so babies must be held the entire time. Children who are unable to follow the rules will be asked to leave with no warnings.

A confirmation email will be sent after payment completion. You can cancel your appointment from that email at anytime for a full refund up to 48 hours before your visit. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled visit will not be eligible for a refund.

If you have vouchers for the Kitty Lounge (Kickstarter, Raffles) you will be refunded when you show up for your visit. If you have a gift card we can charge it the day of your visit and refund your original entry fee.

Entry into the Kitty Lounge starts at the top of the hour. During COVID we must require face masks to be worn in the Kitty Lounge at all times. This temporary measure means no more food or drink are allowed in the room. Drink credits will still be honored, but please show up 20 to 30 minutes early so you can enjoy your drinks before entry.

Please check in at the bar when you arrive. When it’s time, a cat-caretaker will call you in to the Kitty Lounge. You must read the rules below. If you are confident that your children can remain calm and follow the rules, we would love to have them visit. If not, we kindly ask that you do not bring them.

Kitty Lounge Rules

  • Wash hands or apply hand sanitizer before entry.
  • Disturbing a sleeping kitty is rude. Don’t be rude.
  • Food and drinks are allowed but don’t give in to any kitty begging.
  • Everyone may pet the kitties but only adults may pick them up.

Children in the Kitty Lounge

This is not a “petting-zoo.” This is a means of socializing shelter cats and finding them homes. Our top priority is the safety and comfort of our cats. For this reason, there are strict rules regarding children in the Kitty Lounge. Please closely monitor your kiddos. Children who are not respecting these rules will be asked to leave.

  • Children must move slowly. No running, jumping or climbing.
  • Children may NOT pick up the kitties. Respectful playing is OK.
  • Do not stand on the benches or move the pillows around.
  • Respect the space of other guess.
  • Do not allow your children to throw toys or pick up random items.
  • Voices need to be kept down so the cats don’t get frightened.
